In January this year Angela Muecke joined Imagine Accounting as our Practice Manager. We interviewed her for our Client Newsletter and asked Angela what attracted her to Imagine Accounting and how she balances work and study.

What attracted you to join Imagine Accounting?
Mark and Alli who first interviewed me came across as really lovely, salt of the earth people. They were really in touch with the company’s values, which I think is important for a healthy business culture. In addition, the values really lined up with what’s important to me personally and professionally. Also, Goten the office dog is really cute!

What are your main responsibilities?
• Management and support of staff and workflow
• Providing exceptional support to the team
• Responding to client needs and queries

How would you describe your working style?
Efficient, team player and always looking how to improve systems and processes.

You are currently studying a Bachelor of Business and Commerce how do you balance work and study?
Doing both work and study really pushes me out of my comfort zone. I think being out of your comfort zone is necessary to continue to grow. That being said, it can be exhausting. To keep myself on track, I like to step back and put energy into selfcare. For me, that means spending time with friends, getting a massage or doing yoga.

Top 3 items if you had a bucket list?
• Go hiking in Nepal
• Attend F1 in Singapore and sit over the pit lane
• Become a volunteer for WIRES Wildlife Rescue

What are your interests outside of work?
Gaming, cooking, travelling.
